Media Back Watch

During the summer of 2020 while the United Kingdom was in full lockdown, I was asked to attend the Black Lives Matter Protests to gather images.

As a freelance photographer, my protection and safety is down to me. I had worked with Evolve in the past, so was familiar how they operate so I called on their services again. During what can only be described as a very tense violent protest I relied on my back watch to give me advice (not orders) on where we should go and when we should move on.

I managed to gain some excellent shots, but more importantly I was kept safe and uninjured.
